Distinguished Record of Family Law Representation

The firm was founded in 1956 by Robert Diamond, one of the premier civil litigation attorneys in New Jersey. In 1972, the firm became one of the first law firms in New Jersey to focus exclusively on family law and assisting the gay and lesbian community in the family courts around the State.

In 1986, Richard S. Diamond joined the firm, and is now managing partner. Mr. Diamond is a Certified Matrimonial Trial Lawyer by the New Jersey Supreme Court, a Certified Divorce Mediator, an Economic Mediator appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court as part of its pilot program on economic mediation in divorce matters, and a member of the Union and Essex counties family law Early Settlement Panel programs (ESP). He has been honored in Who's Who in American Law, and is a long-standing member of the New Jersey Bar Association, Family Law Section. Mr. Diamond has also been a frequent lecturer on various family law topics and has been a guest on various radio and television programs within and outside New Jersey.
